President and CEO of High 7 Teas
The "High 7 Teas" name came from an idea that had to do with where we wanted to open our first shop. We wanted it to be at the very top of a parking garage in New York City. It was supposed to just be High Tea, but while researching the name we found that it was very overused and also, already owned. We decided to add the "7" because originally, Natacha, her husband, and 5 of their family members played a huge role in getting the company off the ground (7 total).
We didn’t open the tea shop seeking to be entrepreneurs initially, that’s just how it ended up! The reason we opened the shop had to do with something Natacha's father always said. He owned a couple of investment and rental properties but he always said he never felt like he worked a day in his life. His saying was, "Do what you love and the money will come!" We always wanted to own a business some day and Natacha always loved tea, so it just made sense that when we finally made the jump, it was into the tea business!
